About Path to Wellness

Prosper’s Path to Wellness is an initiative focused on training members of the Birmingham community to enter Birmingham’s thriving healthcare workforce. Funded by the Good Jobs Challenge, the eight-week training program gives individuals the skills they need to be successful in today’s healthcare environment and poised to receive living-wage jobs. Path to Wellness, powered by Prosper and led by ConnectionHealth in partnership with ThinkData Solutions, offers cohort participants training on skills that employers have expressed a need to see in more applicants—such as communication, professionalism, interpersonal skills, cultural humility, and conflict resolution—all of which would be helpful in any job. This program has an intentional focus on specific healthcare skills to prepare new workers for high-quality healthcare jobs.
